Mysteria Research·Effective Date: June 3, 2026·Last revised August 28, 2026

Welcome to Mysteria Research. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Mysteria Research, we collect: • Account Information: Your email address and display name provided during registration. • Research Data: Mysteries, historical events, and collections you create and save within the app. • Usage Data: Pages you visit, features you use, and how you interact with the platform (e.g., view counts on research items). • Source Preferences: Your configured research source settings. • Usage Analytics: Research analytics — session IDs, stages, outcomes, retry counts, durations, and credit usage — associated with your account to help us monitor reliability and improve the platform. These logs do not include dedicated email fields or your raw search queries; however, because records are created by authenticated users, the Base44 platform may associate them with your account metadata (which includes your email) as part of standard record-keeping. • Error Logs: For authenticated users, error reports (message, severity, page, and stack trace) to help us diagnose and fix issues. We do not collect or store payment or billing information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide, maintain, and improve the Mysteria Research platform. • Save and display your personal research library (mysteries, history events, collections). • Personalize your experience, such as applying your source preferences to AI research queries. • Monitor reliability and fix issues using account-associated operational analytics and error logs. • Ensure the security and integrity of the platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. AI Research & Third-Party Sources

Mysteria Research uses AI to compile structured research from publicly available sources such as Encyclopedia Britannica, Wikipedia, Smithsonian Magazine, and academic journals. • Your search queries are sent to AI processing services to generate research results. • Your raw query is saved only as part of your research record so you can revisit it — it is not stored in analytics. • The AI-generated content is stored in your account for future access. You can control which sources the AI pulls from in your Settings page.

4. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform infrastructure. • We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). • Access to your data is restricted to your own account via authentication. • Your research collections, mysteries, and history events are private to your account by default. Retention: We retain your research data and collections for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights). Operational Analytics & Error Logs: Account-associated operational analytics (API usage logs) and error logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, and diagnostics. These logs do not include dedicated email fields or your raw search queries; however, because they are created by authenticated users, the Base44 platform may associate them with your account metadata (which includes your email) as part of standard record-keeping. Logs are periodically reviewed and removed when no longer needed. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances: • Service Providers: With trusted third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., AI providers, hosting infrastructure), who are bound by confidentiality agreements. • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority. • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Mysteria Research uses cookies and similar technologies to: • Maintain your login session. • Remember your preferences. • Measure how the platform is used and improve performance (analytics). Analytics & Advertising Measurement: Our hosting platform may load third-party analytics and measurement tags (such as the Meta Pixel) to understand traffic, feature usage, and the effectiveness of promotional campaigns. These tags may set cookies and collect limited usage data (for example, page visits and conversion events). We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and the data collected through these tags is used only to measure and improve our service and campaigns. You can control or disable these cookies through your browser settings, and you may opt out of interest-based advertising via your device or browser controls. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality of the platform.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Portability: Request your data in a portable format. • Opt-Out: Opt out of certain data processing activities. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.
